Surf Life Saving NSW provides a total training package for all NSW schools – public, denominational, private and independent. We currently train staff and students at over 300 schools.

   

STAFF TRAINING

We can deliver all level of first aid training courses to school staff. We can also provide generous discounts to those schools which wish to package more than one course together across professional development days during the calendar year. What differentiates us from other training organisations is our competitive school pricing and flexibility of delivery options. The most relevant courses to NSW school staff include: Senior First Aid – Full Course and Update CPR – Full Course and Annual Update Emergency Care Training Asthma and Anaphylaxis Workshop

 

STUDENT TRAINING

We also deliver first aid training to students from junior to senior grades.  Student training is an important aspect in our promotion of Community First Aid awareness. We charge students a nominal fee to cover course costs to ensure that first aid training is made accessible and enjoyable in an educational context, even to the younger members of our community. Senior students completing their Senior First Aid will also fulfil PD/H/PE, VET, and Duke of Edinburgh Award requirements and for many, will receive their first Nationally Recognised Certification, recognised by employers. The flexibility of our trainers means we can deliver all courses within schools hours and within timetable schedules to minimise disruption.

SCHOOLS PROMOTION

In 2006 the inaugural Surf Life Saving NSW Schools promotion was established, allowing all schools who undertook a first aid training course the chance to win a $500.00 grant each term for any school related project.
