Life Saving Services
Surf Life Saving NSW is the largest surf rescue organisation in Australia. Its Surf Life Saving Emergency Management Framework is made up of a network of volunteer lifesavers , professional lifeguards, support operations and drowning prevention infrastructure and systems.
All personnel are trained under the Australian Qualifications Framework through the Public Safety Training Package. With high levels of training, almost 100 years experience and close liaison with other emergency service bodies, the beach and its safety is in good hands.
Services are spread along the coastline from the Queensland border in the North to the Victorian border in the south, services consist of:

SLSNSW provides a total service plan in order to prevent and save lives 24/7. In addition to Lifeguard Patrols which provide services from Monday-Friday in many council areas and volunteer patrols which operate throughout the state on weekends and public holidays, SLSNSW provides a 24/7 Emergency Callout System which can task resources to emergency incidents at any time of the day or year.
