Description Shelly Beach SLSC Established 1954
Shelly Beach extends from the rocks on the south side of Little Bay for 1.5km south-west to rocks that in turn separate it from Blue Lagoon. While the beaches either side are largely protected by rocks and reefs, Shelly is exposed to east and south-east waves, with north-east waves running down the beach. The beach is accessible in the north from Toowoon Bay and the caravan park on its northern boundary. A golf course occupies much of the central dune area, with the surf club, parking and a caravan park in the south.
